GEA Avapac Box and Drum Filling

Customers that have very exacting requirements for their packing plants look to us to provide specialist solutions to meet their needs.

To meet the needs of the food ingredient industry, GEA Avapac has developed Bag, Box and Drum filling extensions to our existing range of IBF fillers.

These features extend the capability of the GEA Avapac range of fillers to handle the widest range of packaging media in a single machine. With quick-change parts, the filler can quickly and easily be set up to fill bags, boxes and drums.

An automatic bag-loading system is available for fully automated packing - this is removed when filling boxes or drums which are automatically fed into the line using optional infeed chain conveyors.

Downstream, the bags are closed using conventional sealing technology, whereas the boxes and drums may either be sealed using static impulse sealing or simply manually "goose-necked" and tied off.

For downstream handling, the bags pass to a kicker or optional turner ready for palletising. Boxes and drums are automatically diverted to pass along a separate line.
